Pop culture essayist & wild man, Chuck Klosterman, author of Fargo Rock City : A Heavy Metal Odyssey in Rural North Dakota, Sex, Drugs, & Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto & Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story, will read from the new paperback release of Chuck Klosterman IV: A Decade of Curious People & Dangerous Ideas.   Likened to Hunter S. Thompson, Klosterman writes a monthly column, “Chuck Klosterman’s America,” for Esquire.   He is a regular contributor to The New York Times Magazine & ESPN Magazine.   His work has been anthologized in Dave Egger’s Best American Non–Essential Reading series & is regularly chosen for the prestigious Da Capo Best Music Writing annual.

Award–winning local writer/photographer Charlie Hertan reads from Dream Catcher: Selected Poems by Lynn Kernan, his compilation of his late mother's poetry which was released in December 2006.   Kernan's evocative, elegant, & deeply moving work has received high acclaim from literary figures including Grace Cavalieri, long–time host of the Pacifica Radio program “The Poet & the Poem”, on which Kernan appeared as a featured poet.
