Amherst College Fall 2023 Creative Writing SeriesLing Ma will read at the new CHI Think Tank (Lyceum 101) from her lastest book,
Bliss Montage, a collection of stories, named a National Indie Bestseller, a
New Yorker Best Book of the Year, & a
New York Times Book Review Editor’s Choice. Her first novel,
Severance, won the Kirkus Prize for Fiction, the NYPL Young Lions Fiction Award, & the VCU Cabell First Novelist Award. It was named a

Tem Blessed in celebrating the publication of his new graphic afrofuturistic adventure novel,
Planeta Blu : Rise of Agoo. Blessed is a socially conscious Hip Hop artist that has been making relevant music with a message for over a decade. Born in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa to Cape Verdean parents, Tem has worked for over 18 years empowering youth. He is a graduate of UMass Amherst majoring in Legal Studies & minoring in African American Studies & Sociology. His music & message are about social justice, sustainability, & climate change & are designed to inspire the audience towards positive change & global responsibility.
